You turn out meticulously tailored garments!
I'm looking forward to seeing your completed kilt, when you get to it. There's nothing quite as fine as a man in a kilt, imo.
By the way, my brother-in-law is big in the Clan Campbell Society. Does all of the Games. I love going to the games at Loon. So many men in kilts!Dixiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14712003004658269721noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7579381835650147304.post-17167353589306630022013-01-29T15:58:28.674-05:002013-01-29T15:58:28.674-05:00Thanks, Craig. Additional tip: Check out website www.xmarksthescot.com and read the Professional Kiltmakers board. You'll find many tips for this book (abbreviated as TAOK) and the author (BarbT) frequently posts there.Kiltboyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00300881502263237731noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7579381835650147304.post-40387436317770061192013-01-28T23:42:38.664-05:002013-01-28T23:42:38.664-05:00Hiya, looking at that triggered a memory of a vogu...Hiya, looking at that triggered a memory of a vogue menswear pattern and I found it:
http://www.lanetzliving.net/inc/sdetail/175762
Vogue 1753 - the break is different but it may be a useful reference. The trap when sewing lapelless jackets is to have the neckline sit properly - so easily it will bow outward and gape. This can be caused by the way you sew it or how it fits - or both. Using a stay tape will help. I love it and I think it is a great look to rock :)MrsC (Maryanne)https://www.blogger.com/profile/14440723067459232998noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7579381835650147304.post-14263436426356258272013-01-28T14:56:53.988-05:002013-01-28T14:56:53.988-05:00Love that Brioni look and can't wait to see wh...Love that Brioni look and can't wait to see what you do with yours. I agree-it's not initially something I would gravitate toward(and my husband would surely never wear it!) but there is something refreshing about it. And am even more excited to see your kilt and accoutrements. There's nothing and nobody as sexy as a man in a kilt!Susanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11249301128245411713noreply@blogger.com
